David Benaron
CEO
David Benaron is a founder of multiple biotechnology start-ups, including Spectros, FirstScan (in oncology), Xenogen (in Drug Discovery tools, public in 2004 and acquired by Caliper Life Sciences in 2006), and Insite (in oximetry and glucose monitoring, spun out to Vital Insite for Blood pressure monitoring with technology acquired by Masimo).
Benaron has an MD from Harvard, a Health Sciences degree from MIT, and attended as a physician in Intensive Care at Stanford University Medical School. He holds over 30 US and International patents in biomedical devices, methods, and technology. He also serves on the Board at companies outside of Spectros.
Israel Beinglass
Former CTO, Applied Materials
Israel Beinglass, former CTO at Applied Materials (Nasdaq: AMAT), joined the Board of Directors at Spectros Corporation in 2007. Before joining Applied Materials, Beinglass worked at Intel Corporation and IMP. While working at Intel he was the co-inventor of the Selective Tungsten Deposition. Dr. Beinglass has a Ph.D degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in materials science and holds 28 US patents. Currently Beinglass is a consultant to multiple semiconductor equipment concerns, and serves on the BOD and advisory boards at several start ups.

Richard Levenson, Chairman of the Board at Spectros, is Director of Research at Cambridge Research Instruments, a leading provider of tools for Molecular Imaging, joined the Board of Directors at Spectros Corporation in 2006. Levenson has promoted and expanded the tools available in Molecular Imaging while at CRI.
John Brock-Utne, MD

Dr. John Brock-Utne, is a senior Anesthesiologist at Stanford University Hospital. He provides medical practice and hospital economics insight and serves as a non-investor, independent voice on the Board of Directors a Spectros.
